The BEST YEAR ever…
Introducing the London Bridge Half Marathon - Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Each and every year we discuss ways we can improve each of our races and with our sixth Lake Havasu half marathon coming up we decided it was time for a bit of a makeover. The first change is the name of the race, going from the Havasu Half Marathon to the London Bridge Half Marathon! Why? Because the half marathon course runs right over the London Bridge and for 2013, the 5k will also! Add to that the event venue is held at London Bridge Beach and the half marathon course runs down London Bridge Road. It just makes sense. And for many who have never heard of Lake Havasu City (yes, there are many!) the London Bridge has a bit more name awareness to it…
“I have to say that the Havasu Half is now my favorite. Karen and all the participants turned out in freindly force! I had a blast running with everyone, team sparkle/argile gets my vote for the best dressed.” MARSHALL ULRICH – Extreme Endurance Athlete and author of Running on Empty
BRING YOUR USED RUNNERS!
London Bridge Half Marathon & 5k is happy to partner with MORE Foundation Group. Bring your used – but not abused – running shoes to the race for donation to the Non-Profit MORE Foundation Group (formerly PPPF.) MORE uses a bottom-up approach to eradicating poverty in West Africa and regenerating the environment with trees in the Runners Village.
REGISTER FOR 2013!
Each participant receives a colorful tech tee (kids run receive colorful 100% cotton); a finishers medal to all who cross the finish line, including the kids; professionally chip timed with clocks and split mats along the half marathon course; a helluva finish line festival complete with Mudshark Beer, live music and more! So why wait?!
